Jeff Sorrels, will be present what is happening with the world’s reinsurance markets as well as current issues including how markets in London, Bermuda, Europe, Asia and the USA relate to each other.

Jeff Sorrels, a Managing Director with BMS Re, has 20 years of experience as a reinsurance intermediary. He has held various roles within the industry and currently focuses on strategy, teaming, business development and efficiencies for BMS Re. He has a passion for helping his clients and colleagues achieve and exceed their goals.

This session is part of our “Reinsurance Basic Syllabus Series” program, forming part of a “Reinsurance Basic Syllabus”.  This initiative brings a series of 12 topics together for those professionals who have recently joined the industry or who have just a few years of experience.  It is intended to be a “Reinsurance Primer Series” of basic topics and which will be offered on a rolling two-year cycle.  A Certificate will be issued to participants who complete 10 of the 12 topics. 

Connection Details will be emailed the day prior to the meeting to all registered attendees.  The Sharing of connection information/links and/or presentations from IRUA webinars is strictly prohibited.

Members: IRUA Corporate Member Professionals – $80
IRUA Individual Members: (Not Associated with an IRUA Member Company) – $80
Non-IRUA Members: – $110

Mark your calendar for the IRUA 2024 Annual Meeting & Conference – it’s Marque Event!  The conference is being held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood, FL, April 22 – 24, 2024.

Once again, professionals from the insurance and (re)insurance industry will share their knowledge and experiences on cutting-edge issues and trends.

The Conference format will be similar to last year’s event. Our program committee has already begun putting together the program agenda which will, once again, include technical breakout sessions that you will be able to choose from. Read the reviews below from last year’s conference!

The program will open with our traditional Golf Outing on Monday, April 22nd followed by the Opening Night Reception.  The hotel offers many non-golf options to enjoy if golf is not your preference.  On Tuesday, April 23rd, the full day starts with IRUA’s Annual Meeting and Board Elections immediately followed by the educational sessions and networking opportunities.  The day ends with a casual networking Reception and BBQ. The program will continue on Wednesday, April 24th and adjourn at noon. This will be an instructive learning and networking experience that everyone in attendance will benefit from.

Hotel Reservations: Advanced hotel reservations will be available shortly. The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel will be offering all IRUA conference attendees a special “Group Rate”.  So, check back often to view the details and logistics as we forge ahead with a new and exciting program agenda.

Sponsorship Opportunities:   A substantial number of sponsorship options and benefits – including complimentary Conference registrations will also be available.

Registrations: This event is open to members and non-members alike.  Members will receive a discounted registration fee. Credentialed Regulators and Academics may also enjoy a discounted Registration fee.

Please Note the Following:

♦ Please notify the IRUA with any special dietary requirements

♦ Refund Policy: Only if cancelled, in writing, 30 days prior to the commencement of the event, a charge of $150 will be levied to cover administrative costs if attendees who have registered cancel. Between 30 and 14 calendar days prior, there is a 75% refund less the admin fee. On or after April 8th there is no refund available barring special circumstances.
