IMPLICATIONS OF REVIVER STATUES FOR CASUALTY MARKETS
July 29, 2020  12:00 Noon – 1.00 p.m. ♦ Powered by Zoom

This latest webinar will be presented by Robert DiUbaldo, a Shareholder of the firm of Carlton Fields P.A., and who is an acknowledged expert in this area. He will update us on the absolute current situation in this rapidly developing area.

The emergence in recent years in several state jurisdictions of  so called “reviver statutes” reopens and extends the statute of limitations under which cases may be brought in the area of allegations of sexual abuse and molestation.  This has the effect of raising the time bar or “reviving” the time under which suits may be filed.  The new filing of tort claims on long-expired insurance policies provides significant new exposure for insureds such as religious and educational institutions.

These developments are of particular interest to insurers/reinsurers/financial entities with legacy long-tail liabilities.  The webinar should be of particular interest to claims, legal, actuarial, underwriting and financial professionals.
