Supply chain issues have always existed. But with the ever increasing reliance on technology and demands for fuel and time efficiency, suppliers are forced to meet tighter deadlines and restrictions. All of this is exacerbated by conflicts, unforeseen bottlenecks (Suez and Panama canal) , natural disasters and politics. Compromised integrity of the supply chain has multiple implications to the insurance and reinsurance industry.
