Preface
It is the intention of the association staff to use the expertise of members in planning issues of the Journal of Reinsurance. This expertise will be communicated primarily through the Journal of Reinsurance Committee, a selected group of members, and will include input from the general membership gathered through periodic reader surveys. Outside publishing experts may also be consulted as the need arises.
Ideally, the editor, association staff and the committee will work together, with member and outside input, to produce one of the foremost publications in the industry. The editor shall be responsible for the content of each issue. In addition, the editor working in conjunction with the association staff is responsible for the actual production, and design of each issue. The members of the committee will assist the association staff in planning editorial policy and direction; will suggest ideas for articles and authors; will provide technical expertise on issues affecting the industry; will review questionable advertising submissions for acceptance or rejection; and will help plan the publication's editorial calendar. The committee's role is advisory, and looks to the future, rather than day-to-day involvement with current issues.
